The Constantia Valley is truly Cape Town’s Vineyard

The oldest wine-making region in the southern hemisphere, dating back to 1685, Constantia Valley is today the Cape’s most intimate wine route consisting of nine wine farms, each with their own distinctive heritage and premium wines.

Enjoyed by Napoleon Bonaparte and royalty in the 18th century, Constantia Valley’s unique combination of terroir and climate produces some of the world’s finest wines that continue to this day to win accolades and international awards for consistently high standard and quality.

Eagles' Nest Wines

Eagles’ Nest, located on the crest of Constantia Nek pass, is nestled at the foot of the awe inspiring Table Mountain. This pristine family owned vineyard has in recent years gained a striking reputation for both its beauty and exceptionally well crafted wines which consistently delivers ultra premium quality across its selection.

In a span of just 10 years, Eagles’ Nest has literally risen from the ashes. A devastating mountain fire in 2000 left the property all but destroyed, but the Mylrea Family’s perseverance and conviction in wine-growing has seen it become one of Constantia’s most acclaimed and recognised names.

Uniquely characteristic of its wines is its signature of ‘Chic’ elegance, derived from the cooler climate conditions its vineyards are exposed to as a result of its elevation and close proximity to the oceanic body that is False Bay, thus delivering very distinctive wines not found elsewhere in South Africa.

Situated only 15 to 20 minutes from Cape Town’s city centre, in the heart of South Africa’s Lifestyle capital Constantia, it’s perfectly positioned for a relaxing stop along the scenic route to Hout Bay.

We look forward to welcoming you soon!
