The historic Alphen Hotel in the Constantia Valley is a National Monument surrounded by extensive gardens. It has the charm and interest of a bygone era and the comfort, convenience and superb cuisine of an exclusive modern hotel. The Cloete family has owned the estate since 1850.

There are 21 bedrooms. Bedroom types range from Superior in the historic buildings to Luxury Mill Range which has two bathrooms for each room.
On the property there are three conference rooms catering for up to forty delegates, as well as a hairdresser and health and beauty clinic.
The swimming pool is situated in lush gardens on the banks of the Diep River. The Alphen hiking trail, the most popular of the Constantia trails, leads along the Diep River from the southern boundary of the Estate to the Constantiaberg mountain, part of the Table Mountain National Park.
The Alphen Hotel is just 20 minutes drive from central Cape Town, the Waterfront, Table Mountain cableway and the airport. Major attractions such as the Constantia wine route, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, the Cape Peninsula National Park, shopping and four 18 hole golf courses are one to five kilometres away.

Individual Booking Policy

- 50% deposit is required 60 days prior to arrival.
- Full pre-payment is required 30 days prior to arrival.
10 or more rooms booked:
- 25% payable 2 weeks after booking has been made.
- 50% deposit is required 60 days prior to arrival.
- Full pre-payment is required 30 days prior to arrival.
- To confirm a booking, full pre-payment must be made to secure the reservation.
- Reservations will automatically be cancelled if payment is not received within the specified period.
