Open for Breakfast Lunch and Dinner, and offering an all day Café experience the River Café really does cater to your every need.

Luke Dale Roberts the acclaimed Chef of La Colombe fame has taken over the popular restaurant on the Constantia Uitsig Wine Estate and has appointed his protégé Scot Kirton as head chef.

The restaurant will retain its relaxed atmosphere offering guests a genuine bistro experience with a menu that includes fresh seasonal ingredients and wines from all 8 of the Constantia Valley farms.

To add to the experience the two exceptional chefs have teamed up with horticulturist Boyd Hutchins in developing an organic garden growing their own fresh herbs and vegetables for the diverse culinary creations on offer.

Another interesting offering that is bound to peak the curiosity of diners at The River Cafe is the on-site smoking of their own produce from salmon to meats and cheeses and the sourcing of artisan breads and top quality coffees.

According to Kirton, the aim is to provide authentic appetizing offerings at any time of the day, whether it is a good strong espresso for that needed energy boost or a succulent salad made with produce picked that morning for lunch. The goal is to be THE place where you will always find a scrumptious meal made with exceptional ingredients served to you by a team of passionate and friendly staff.
